B50 Framed/B44 Engined Café Racer The epitome of Single Cylinder Café Racers with a traditional B44 round barrel engine slotted into a 1971 B50 oil-bearing frame. Engine was spotlessly rebuilt by Mickey Peters of Bakersfield, CA to show winning standard. Frame was then modified to accept this engine with its slightly different rear engine mounts and attendant left-side-intake cylinder head. Head angle steepened by 2.5 degrees and Banke/Betor fork combo adapted. Grimeca copy front brake stops this bike on a dime with 5 cents change. Rear hub is highly modified B50, appropriately machined for lightness and best aesthetic effect. Shocks are YSS, handlebar controls are Magura, rearsets are a Banke design and fabrication, tank is 60’s Wards Riverside.
This bike is a multiple show award winner and is amazing to ride, just as it should be.
